About Whims Merino DK
Let's talk details first. This light weight yarn comes in 3.5 oz hanks or skeins, depending on which of the 9 colors you choose. Each has an amount of 196 yards/180 meters and is a blend of fine superwash merino with nylon.
Please note due to COVID-19, stock is minimal but they're diligently working to get products back in their store.
Furls states that their yarn offers better stitch definition and drape due to their yarn having a z-twist as opposed to a s-twist. But does it?
Would I buy Furls Whims Merino DK Again?
Actually, I'm anxiously waiting for my mailperson to make a delivery... and yes, it'll contain two more skeins of this amazing DK weight yarn! In red!!
When working with this yarn, not once did I have a split. And I'll be honest, I really never paid attention to the twist of my yarn before. It only took a few stitches though to appreciate the twist, and how well even a simple double crochet stitch stood out.
Conclusion
I love this yarn... and this blue! Completely stunning! I really don't feel any pictures did justice for either the stitches or the color. It's even more 'wow' in person. And it has me wanting to make all the things in this color!
Loving the sun hat above? The Fritillaria Sun Hat is forever free on the blog!
