- Yarn: WeCrochet Brava 500, 2 colors (shown in Dove Heather and Peacock)
- Hook: Furls Crochet Alpha I 5.50mm
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
- Measuring Tape

XS/S (M/L, 1X/2X)

13 dc x 10 rows = 4"
A Furls Alpha Crochet Hook was used to create this free duster crochet pattern. When using these hooks, my gauge differed from when using a different brand. Please always check gauge to ensure the best project!

Body of Duster
Ch 116 (140, 170) with Color A
R1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across. 115 (139, 169) sts
R2: Ch 2 (doesn't count here or throughout), turn, dc in same, skip 1, *2 dc in next, skip 1, repeat from * to last st, dc in last st. 114 (138, 168) sts
R3: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 114 (138, 168) sts
R4: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 58 (70, 85) sts
R5: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc. 59 (71, 86) sts
Change to Color B. Alternate between Color A and B every 4 rows here and throughout.
R6: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc in next ch 3 space, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last sc. 114 (138, 168) sts
R7: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 114 (138, 168) sts
R8: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 58 (70, 85) sts
R9: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc. 59 (71, 86) sts
Repeat Row 6-9 for a total of 73 rows. Do not finish off. Continue alternation every 4 rows with color changes.
First Front Panel
R1: Ch 2, dc in same, *2 dc in next ch 3 space, repeat from * 13 (16, 20) more times, dc next ch 3 space. 30 (34, 44) sts
R2: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 30 (34, 44) sts
R3: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 16 (18, 23) sts

Join yarn in the same stitch that has the last dc from Row 1 of the First Front Panel with wrong side facing (should be Row 73 of the Body of the Duster).
R1: Ch 2, dc in same, *2 dc in next ch 3 space, repeat from * 25 (33, 38) more times, dc in next ch 3 space. 54 (70, 80) sts
R2: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 54 (70, 80) sts
R3: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 28 (36, 41) sts
R4: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc. 29 (37, 42) sts
Repeat Rows 1-4 three more times but turning after beginning chain in Row 1 here and throughout. Optional: for larger arm holes, repeat Row 1-4 one additional time. Repeat Row 1-2 once more. Total amount of rows for back panel will be 18.

Assembly
Fold Front Panels in front of back panel. Using the mattress stitch sew 4.5 (6, 9)" from the outer sleeve in toward the middle. Secure and weave in ends.
Sleeves
Using same color yarn as the stripe right below the underarm, join the yarn between the dcs.
R1: Ch 2, dc in same, work 2 dc in each dc row ends but skipping sc row ends, join.
R2: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st, join.
R3: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st, join.
R4: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc, join.
Repeat Rounds 1-4 once more, then repeat Round 1-3 once more but turning after beginning chain in Round 1 here and throughout.
R12: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, skip 1 puff st, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc, join.
Optional: If you feel this may be too tight around the upper arm, don't skip as many puff sts.
R13: Ch 2, dc in same, work 2 dc in each dc row ends but skipping sc row ends, join.
R14: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st, join.
R15-16: Ch 1, sc in same and each st around, join.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Hood
Using same color as the last 2 rows of panels, join yarn on the wrong side farther to the right.
R1: Ch 2, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st.
R2: Ch 1, turn, sc in same and next ch 1 space, *ch 3, sc between next 2 puff sts, repeat from * across to last sc, sc in last dc.
R3: Ch 2, dc in same, *2 dc in next ch 3 space, repeat from * 25 (33, 38) more times, dc in next ch 3 space. 30 (34, 44) sts
R4: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, *2 dc between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 30 (34, 44) sts
R5: Ch 2, turn, dc in same, ch 1, *puff st between next 2 dc, repeat from * across to last st, dc in last st. 16 (18, 23) sts

Repeat Row 3-6 six more times. Repeat Row 3-4 once more.
Fasten off leaving a long tail. Mattress stitch starting from the two ends together and work towards the middle.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Edging
With right side facing and starting at Row 1 of the Body of Duster (sc row), join yarn in side of sc row end. Edging will be worked along raw edges and along hood.
R1: Ch 1, hdc evenly across first front panel, around the hood, and back down the second front panel.
R2-3: Ch 1, turn, hdc in same and each st across.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
