If you’re not already, please join the Crochet Charity Drive Facebook group to see all the wonderful mitten patterns coming out soon! The Charity Group also various other drives throughout the year so be sure to stick around! But for now, check out the free fingerless mitten crochet pattern below!
I’m all about wearing fashionable crochet, but there comes a point where function is more important than fashion. This is especially true when it comes to mittens. Having a warm mitten is a must for me as I don’t like being cold one bit! That being said, I also want to be able to block an occasional snowball from my boys without the mittens getting wet and yet have the ease to pull out my phone and snap some photos of my children! This free fingerless mitten crochet pattern offers just that!

R5:
Right Hand: Ch 3, LDC in same and next {20, 23, 26}, ch 7, slst in 1st ch (makes button loop), LDC in remaining st around, join – 28, 32, 36 sts

R11-13: Ch 3, LDC in same and each st around, join – 32, 36, 40 sts
Do not finish off. Continue to Cuff below.
Cuff
Ch 9
You will now be working in Rows. Work all slip stitches very loosely.
R1: Starting in 2nd ch, slst in next 8 chs, slst in next 2 sts on last Round of Mitten (counts as turning ch here and throughout) – 8 sts

This pattern is amazing! I had never heard of an LCD stitch before but I love it, and how close the stitches are together. Working on my left handed mitten now, and my daughter also wants a pair. Thank you for sharing.
Would like to print directions, can you tell me how
Hello. You can purchase the ad-free PDF for a small fee on Ravelry. Thank you!
I started these, so far I had no problem making the mitten top, but I’m lost on the following part( ch 14 starting on the farthest back loop ss ) is there any photo tutorial on how to do it?
I don’t have any pictures of this part. The chain is this part of the mitten though. When you slst in the back loops of the tip of the mitten, you’re joining the two parts of the mitten. Does that help?
I’m lost too! Did you do a video of your work?
