- Yarn: Bulky Weight Yarn like Red Heart Super Saver Chunky
Up to 220 yards - Hook: Size M/N/9.0mm
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
- Measuring Tape
Sizing:
| Size | Length | Circumference |
| One size | 9” | 23” |
Gauge:
9 dc by 4½ rows = 4”
Pattern Key:
- Ch: Chain
- Sc: Single crochet
- Dc: Double Crochet
- St(s): Stitch(es)
- *: Repeat instructions from symbol until indicated
- [ ]: Repeat instructions all in one stitch

Special Pattern Notes:
Beginning chain 1 does not count as a stitch. Always work the first stitch into joining stitch unless noted. Join to first stitch of each round unless noted.
Either side can be right or wrong side. Alternate colors each round for color changes if desired, though one color can also be used.
Free Bulky Cowl Crochet Pattern
Ch 64, join without twisting
(Foundationless sc will also work for Round 1)
R1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around, join – 64 sts
R2: Ch 1, [sc, 3 dc] in same, skip 3, *[sc, 3 dc] in next, skip 3, repeat * around, join – 64 sts
R3: Ch 1, turn, [sc, 3 dc] in same, skip 3 dc, *[sc, 3 dc] in next sc, skip 3 dc, repeat * around, join – 64 sts
Repeat Round 3 until you have a total of 15 rounds including the sc round.
Finish off and weave in ends.
