Why a gingham tissue cover crochet pattern? That's easy! For instance, I love watching feel-good, happy tears, holiday movies. Above all though, it's always great to see my family during the holidays. But it's not see easy saying good-bye as they don't live near us. Plus, our lower level holiday decor has a woodsy theme and this rustic, outdoorsy cover is the perfect addition!

Rustic Tissue Cover Crochet Pattern
Materials:

- Yarn: City Tweed DK in 3 colors (or similar yarn)
- Hook: Furls H 5.00mm LE Masur Birch
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
- Measuring Tape
- Optional: Furls Lucet Fork (used for tie)
- Optional: Hemp Cord, Twine, Ribbon, etc (other options for the tie)

Special Pattern Notes:
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.
First, the base of pattern is worked back and forth in rows. Then, the edging of base is worked in the round, along with the remaining rounds in the pattern. Work over alternating yarn in that row. Lastly, third color in every other round can either be finished off or carried up the join on the wrong side.
Specialty Stitches:
Picot: Ch 5, slst into base stitch (sc in this pattern). Find a written and video tutorial here.

Ch 17 with color A
R1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st across – 16 sts
R2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across – 16 sts
R4-11: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each st across – 16 sts
R12-14: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across -16 sts

R15: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in same, sc in next 14, 2 sc in last, rotate to work down raw edge, work 2 sc in first row end, work 14 sc evenly down to last row end, 2 sc in last row end, rotate to work along beg chain, 2 sc in first ch, sc in next 14 chs, 2 sc in last ch, rotate to work up raw edge, work 2 sc in first row end, work 14 sc evenly up raw edge, 2 sc in last row edge, join – 72 sts
*From here on out, work over color not being used*
R16: Working in BLO for entire round, ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R17: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color B – 72 sts
R18: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color C, alternate color B and color C every 3 sc around, join with color B – 72 sts
R19: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color C, alternate color B and color C every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R20: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R21: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color B – 72 sts
Repeat Rounds 18-21 five additional times for a total of 41 rounds.
Round 42: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color C, alternate color B and color C every 3 sc around and working a picot in ever sixth stitch, join with color B – 72 sts, 12 picots
*Next, work Round 43 by keeping picots in front of stitches*
R43: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color C, alternate color B and color C every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R44: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R45: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color B – 72 sts
R46: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color C, alternate color B and color C every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
R47: Ch 1, sc in same and next 2 switching to color B, alternate color A and color B every 3 sc around, join with color A – 72 sts
Repeat Rounds 44-47 once more. Finish off and weave in ends.
Tie:
After that, make a chain, i-cord (with Lucet Fork), or a row of single crochets roughly 19” in length. Hemp cord, twine, ribbon or other materials can also be used. Add length for a longer tie.
Finally, weave tie through picots making sure to have both ends count out on the right side.
