I’m one to love making myself crocheted goodies. Yes, I’m a selfish crocheter. Unfortunately, washing dishes isn’t something I find myself looking forward to. So when I ordered Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with. I just knew that I did want to try it eventually so it ended up in my cart as I was ordering other yarn. Free Crochet Soap Pouch Pattern

Pattern Key:

- Sc: Single crochet
- Hdc: Half double crochet
- Fpdc(s): Front post double crochet(s)
- Slst(s): Slip stitch(es)
- St(s): Stitch(es)
- *: Repeat instructions between symbol until indicated

Soap Pouch
Ch 16
R1: Starting in 2nd ch, 4 hdc, hdc next 13, 4 hdc in last ch, working down opposite side, hdc next 13, join – 34 sts
R2: Ch 1, hdc in same and each st around, join – 34 sts
Repeat Round 2 until piece measures 4.5″ in height.
Do not finish off. Continue to Top of Soap Pouch.
Top of Soap Pouch
R1: Ch 1, hdc in same, fpdc in next, *hdc in next, fpdc in next, repeat * around, join – 34 sts
R2-4: Ch 1, hdc in same and each st around, join – 34 sts
Finish off and weave in ends. Continue to Pouch Tie below.
Pouch Tie
Ch 70
Starting in 6th ch from hook, sc next 59 chs, skip 5 ch, slst in last ch.
Finish off and weave in ends. Loops on ends of tie are for optional hanging.
Check the feel of the inside versus the outside. If you prefer the feel on the inside with the amount of texture, flip wrong side out for use. Weave Pouch Tie under fpdcs from Round 1 of Top of Pouch.
