Happy August! Did you know that the Perseid meteor shower was seen best this year August 11th - 13th? It was! My husband and I are star nuts (more him than me, but if he finds planets with the telescope, I'm happy to view them!) So, in honor of this meteor shower, I created August's pattern a crochet star dish cloth! I hope you enjoy this star scrubby free crochet pattern.

Why Crocheted Scrubby Patterns?
December 2019 started my crocheted dish cloth craze with the Melted Snowman Scrubby! This year, there's a new crocheted scrubby every month, forever free on the blog. Star Scrubby Crochet Pattern
Materials:
- Yarn: Sugar ‘n Cream Scrub Off
- Hook: Furls Odyssey H 5.00mm *get 15% off using code: crystalized15
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
- Measuring Tape
Sizing:
One Size ~ 4"x 4.5"
Gauge:
14 dc, 6 rows = 4"
The Furls H 5.00mm Odyssey Crochet Hook was used to create this star dish cloth crochet pattern. When using this hook, my gauge differed from when using a different H hook. Please always check gauge to ensure the best project!
Pattern Key:

- Hdc: Half Double Crochet
- Dc: Double Crochet

Special Pattern Notes:
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch. Chains within a round are not counted as stitches.
After working in 1st skipped stitch, next st will always be worked in front of the first set of 3 dc worked. The second skipped stitch will not have any stitches worked into it.

Ch 1, 12 hdc in circle, join – 12 sts
R2:
Ch 2, dc in same, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st working over 3 dc just worked, *dc in next dc, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st working over 3 dc just worked, repeat * once more, join to first dc - 21 sts
R3:
Ch 2, dc in same, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st working over 3 dc just worked, *dc in next ch 3 space, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st working over 3 dc just worked, dc in next dc, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st working over 3 dc just worked, repeat * once more, dc in next ch 3 space, skip 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, ch 3, 3 dc in 1st skipped st, join to first dc – 42 sts
Finish off and weave in ends.
