I Love it, how precious
Thank you so much!
The bear is adorable. I think its great you can work with the fur yarn. I find it too challenging. It makes a beautiful ami.
Thank you!! It’s more about feeling the stitches than seeing them which is a different experience for sure!
It’s more feeling than seeing stitches for sure!
So cuddly and cute!
Thank you so much!
Hello, on the legs, when doing row 5, are the increases in single crochet, or double? Do I stay with the F hook, or go back to the M for working with the fur on row 6? The head and body were really fun to make but I wasn't sure on that set of instructions for the legs. Thanks for this pattern!
Hello. So sorry for getting back to you so late. Yes, ROund 5 on the legs will be double crochet. Once you start with the fur on Round 6, switch to the M hook.
Hope that helps!
On row 11 of the right front leg you say to turn and hdc 6 then join. On the left front leg it's just hdc 6 and join without turning. Is there a misprint?
Making this polar bear for my son and he’s going to love it. I’m stuck on the leg, It’s after rounds 9-10. You joined on the previous round and ended with 9 sts. Round 11 say’s chain 1, turn, hdc in the next 6 and join. I’m confused on how it went from 9 to six without decreasing. Need help understanding this part. Thank you
I just figured it out myself, I think the 3 sts gap is for stuffing and sewing at the end of the project.
I am in the same predicament. She also doesn't respond to any of the comments asking about this specific step.
Hi,
Roughly how much filling is needed for the bear?
I don't want to buy to little
Hi, Kristine.
I didn't weight exactly how much I used. I can say it wasn't more than 8oz. Hope that helps!
Thank you,
Crystal
I am stuck with Amber on how we get from 9 sts to 6 sts on each of the legs.
The join in this step isn’t joining to the beginning of the round. The 6 stitches are worked back and forth to make a flap so when you sew the arms/legs to the body they sit nicely. I’m not sure if it’s correct but the way I made it work was to join the previous round as I went back and forth. Hope this helps somebody!
You didn’t include instructions for creating the nose section of the head.
fabulous pattern thank you, can't wait to start!
Edit from my earlier comment – your pattern is wonderful!
My first attempt at making the head/ nose was worked far too loosely therefore I could not see the obvious snout. My second attempt came out much better!
I will be making more bears once I find different colours of the Cozy Sherpa yarn by Loops and Threads. I need one for each of my 4 grandchildren ❤️
On the ears you say to chain two but crochet into the third chain from the hook but there isn't one. What's the correct method? It's like this in the digital pdf as well.
I crocheted into 2nd chain from the hook, and crocheted all three hdc into the same stitch. It worked out well.
Thank you so much for sharing your pattern with us, I hope to get time to make it. It will make a great Christmas gift.
