I found with Crispen the Snowman, that I LOVE to crochet these snowman with Lion Brand Yarn’s Go For Faux! And though my snowman collection consists of mainly larger ones, I couldn’t help by work up a little guy. This free snowman crochet pattern makes this smaller version of Crispen. Meet Cole, the kid snowman! Unlike any other, he measures at 8″, is quick to work up, and only uses one skein of Go For Faux.
Find 14″ version Crispen the Snowman here. See picture below to compare the two sizes. Find a tutorial here on how to attach fringe as done so on Cole’s scarf.

R2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in each st around, join – 16 sts
R3: Ch 1, hdc in same, 2 hdc in next, *hdc in next, 2 hdc in next, repeat * around, join – 24 sts
R4-8: Ch 1, hdc in same and each st around, join – 24 sts
Stuff body firmly with fiberfill. Shape if needed.
