Free Boho Crochet Bag Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: 1 Skein Lion Brand Jeans Yarn
• Hook: Size I, 5.5mm 
• Scissors
• Yarn Needle
• Measuring Tape

Sizing:

Gauge:

14 dc by 8 rows = 4″

• Sc: Single Crochet

• Cl: Cluster

• YO: Yarn Over

Pattern Instructions

Ch 40

Round 1: 2 dc in 3^rd ch, dc next 36, 2 dc in last ch, working down opposite side, dc next 36, join – 76 sts

Round 2-17: Ch 2, turn, dc in same and each st around, join – 76 sts

For the following rounds, work more loosely or use one hook larger to keep the upper part consistent with the lower part.

Round 18: Ch 1, [sc, ch 3, dc cl] in same st, ch 1, skip 3, *[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next st, ch 1, skip 3, repeat * around, join to 1^st sc – 38 sts

Rounds 19-20: Ch 2, turn, *[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat * around, join to 1^st sc – 38 sts

Round 21: Ch 2, turn, *[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat * 1 more time, sc in next ch 3 space, ch 57, skip 4 ch 3 spaces, **[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat ** 3 more times, sc in next ch 3 space, ch 57, skip 4 ch 3 spaces, ***[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat *** 2 more times, slst to 1^st ch – 20 sts

Round 22: Ch 2, turn, *[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat * 2 more times, [sc, ch 3, dc cl] in 1^st ch, ch 1,

**skip 3 chs, [sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch, ch 1, repeat ** 13 more times, ***[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat *** 3 more times, [sc, ch 3, dc cl] in 1^st ch, ch 1, ****skip 3 chs, [sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch, ch 1, repeat **** 13 more times, *****[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat ***** 1 more time, join to 1^st sc – 78 sts

Rounds 23-24: Ch 2, turn, *[sc, ch 3, dc cl] in next ch 3 space, ch 1, repeat * around, join to 1^st sc – 78 sts

Lastly, finish off and weave in ends.

In addition, add fringe if desired. Cut 6” lengths for short fringe, 15” for long fringe. Add fringe to every middle skipped dc from Round 17. Above shown with 3 strands per stitch. For double knots, take half of one set of fringe and knot with half of the one next to it roughly an inch lower than first knot shown below.
