This worsted weight colorful yarn comes in 10 vibrant ombré colors perfect for a variety of projects. Each cake comes with 177 yards/162 meters weighing at 3 oz/85 g. Crayola Cakes consist of 100% acrylic yarn that is easy to care for as it’s able to be machine washed and dried. And after all that goodness, the price is also very reasonable starting at $4.99 on the Lion Brand Yarns Site. This yarn is versatile on paper but how does it hold up to a hook?

Would I buy Crayola Cakes Again?

Absolutely! The color caught my eye, and the Crayola name, but the softness make it worth of a must have! For an acrylic yarn, this fiber seemed to flow effortlessly from the cake to my hook to my projects. Not only that, but there was no splits in the yarn, nor did it split when working up projects.

Conclusion

Though I bought this yarn to make the Crayon Water Bottle Cozy, I would definitely buy this yarn again! I can attest to this yarn being machine washable. My boys had left one of their water bottle cozies outside on the grass before it rained.
