Lion Brand Hometown ~ A Yarn Review

It's not often that I work with super bulky yarns. Winter items, mainly cowls, are the first project I think of, but there really is a wide variety of items to make. But the yarn makes a difference as well. Check out the Lion Brand Hometown yarn review below to get all the details on this yarn, see what I thought, and get project ideas!

Looking for this yarn? Hometown tends to be in most hobbies stores that carry yarn. But it can also be purchased on Amazon as well as several other online shops.

About Hometown

This super bulky yarn is easily available and comes in a variety of colors. With options of solid colors, tweed, and twists, you'll have no problem picking from one of the 44 choices. Not only does it work up quickly, Hometown yarn is also safe to machine wash and dry. Store prices vary both in store and online so this yarn is best to price compare!

Would I buy Lion Brand Hometown again?

I actually have two more free blog pattern in the works using this yarn. This is one of my favorite to work with. It's super bulky but just as soft to work with as it is to wear (or use).

In conclusion

Looking for some free projects to try? Several patterns in the Ho Ho Ho Crochet Pattern Series use this yarn, such as the Basket, Cowl, Pillow Cover and even the fun Picnic Basket crochet pattern.
