Before November of last year, I never really had the urge to buy faux fur yarn. But when Lion Brand Yarn came out with their Go For Faux yarn, I knew I had to give it a try. That one skein of yarn changed my thoughts on fur yarn forever! Find out more in this Lion Brand faux fur yarn review.

About Lion Brand’s Go For Faux
Lion Brand Go for Faux yarn feels so similar to real fur! (Don’t worry though, it is faux fur!) And with 12 colors to choose from, there’s a variety of projects that can be made using this yarn. Go For Faux super bulky yarn is 100% polyester fur yarn with a skein of 64 yards, 60 meters and starts at only $6.99!
Would I buy Go For Faux again?
Umm… yeah! Absolutely! I fell in love with creating amigurumi with this fur yarn! I’m normally a garment type of gal but I just can’t pass up creating fur creatures! Crispen the Snowman Free Crochet Pattern started it all, then Cole the Kid Snowman came, also a freebie. And then Owen the Owl was born…. (and a little secret, tomorrow will bring a new addition to my Lion Brand’s Go For Faux creature collection!
Conclusion
This yarn does take a bit of getting used to. You really can’t SEE the stitches, you really have to feel for them and hope you’re working in the correct place. If not, the great thing about this fur yarn, you’ll never be able to tell (and no one else will either) if there’s a misplaced stitch!
