This gift basket crochet pattern was created for A Crocheted Simplicity's Mini Mystery Crochet Along. With the color changes being not project specific, this was a fun project to see progress photos for. Although mine was create as a movie night basket, it can be used to hold anything!

Material List
I used two kinds of yarn for the gift basket crochet pattern. Red Heart Soft and Red Heart with Love were used for my project but Lion Brand Vanna's Choice or any other worsted yarn will work.

What chain 2 space in previous round?
In round 3, you’ll start to work over or in front of the chain 2 spaces from the previous round. Let me know if you need anything further!
OK, I see that in round 2.
The pattern and the video use dc in the or over the spaces, but overlaid during the video, it states “hdc not dc.” ????
In the video, I stated to work into the DC of the previous round. The previous round was actually a hdc round, that is what the overlay was mentioning. Hope that helps!
Oh, OK, thanks, it was not clear to me.
