I couldn't complete this Ho Ho Ho pattern series without including one project that was blue! It just so happens that my stockings are hung in a dusty blue room. And I definitely couldn't leave out a Christmas stocking crochet pattern from the series. This is such an easy crochet stocking pattern that you'll be whipping several up for youself and for others!
The Holiday crochet stocking is the seventh of seven "Ho Ho Ho" patterns. Check out the other patterns in this series:
TheFurls G+ 4.5mm Candy Shop Hook was used to create this pattern. When using this hook, my gauge differed from when using a different K hook. Please always check gauge to ensure the best project!

Cut three 70” lengths using Color B. Make three 1 3/8” pom poms using Color B.
Use a stitch marker to mark the first or last stitch of each round when not joining each round.

R1: Ch 1, 8 hdc in circle – 8 sts
R2: 2 hdc in each st around – 16 sts
R3: *Hdc in next, 2 hdc in next, repeat * around – 24 sts
R4: *Hdc in next 2, 2 hdc in next, repeat * around – 32 sts
R5: *Hdc in next 3, 2 hdc in next, repeat * around – 40 sts
R7: Hdc in each st around – 40 sts
Slst in next st joining Color B
R8-15: Sc in each st around in BLO – 40 sts
Heel of Sock
R16: Using BLO entire row, hdc in next 6, dc in next 12, hdc in next 6 – 24 sts
R17: Using FLO entire row, turn, skip 1 hdc, hdc2tog over next 2 sts, hdc in next 3, dc in next 12 sts, hdc in next 3, hdc2tog over next 2 sts – 20 sts
R18: Using BLO entire row, turn, skip 1 hdc, 2 hdc2tog over next 4 sts, hdc in next 3, dc in next 4, hdc in next 3, 2 hdc2tog over next 4 sts – 14 sts
R19: Using FLO entire row, turn, skip 1 hdc, hdc2tog over next 2 sts, hdc in next 3, dc in next 2, hdc in next 3, hdc2tog over next 2 sts – 10 sts
Ankle of Sock
R20: Using BLO for stitches entire row (not raw edges), ch 1, turn, sc in same and next 9 sts, rotate piece so working down raw edge of heel, work 8 sc evenly down raw edge, sc in next 16 sts, rotate piece so working up raw edge of heel, work 8 sc up raw edge – 42 sts
Continue marking first or last stitch of each round.
R21-24: Sc in each st around – 42 sts
R25-26: Sc in next 12 switching to Color A, sc in next 2 switching to Color B, sc in next switching to Color A, sc in next 2 switching to Color B, sc remaining sts around – 42 sts
R27: Sc in next 12 switching to Color A, sc in next 5 switching to Color B, sc remaining sts around – 42 sts

Slst in next st and join Color A.
R45: Ch 1, hdc in each st around – 42 sts
Continue marking first or last stitch of each round.
R46-49: Hdc in each st around – 42 sts
Round 50: Hdc in next 7, ch 8, slst in last hdc worked, hdc in remaining sts around – 42 sts
Slst in next st, finish off and weave in ends. Add a pom pom to the right of each H.

Color Change Tutorial
Before finishing a stitch prior to a new color, pull through new color on last pull through.
This picture shows completed color change.
Working Over Yarn Around H
First Row: Work over Color A.
Switch to Color A on last pull through.
Switch to Color B on last pull through.
Work over non-working yarn across H.
Second Row: When joining Color B, take yarn from left and loosely cross stitches.
Work over both stretched Color B and non-working yarn.
Even when working Color A, work over both stretched Color B and non-working yarn.
